AI Findom: the art of a first conversation
A good opening is an invitation, not a performance.
Begin with something small
You do not need an elaborate introduction. A detail from your afternoon, a song you keep returning to, or an imaginary destination gives a character something specific to respond to. Small openings often feel more natural than a list of facts about yourself.
Ask a question with room inside it
Instead of asking whether a character likes travel, ask where she would go with a single free afternoon. The second question gives the scene a shape and leaves enough space for surprise. You can accept the answer, change the destination, or introduce a different mood.
Let the pace change
A first exchange does not have to establish the whole relationship or story. Keep the rhythm comfortable. If a topic feels uninteresting, move on. If you want shorter replies, say so plainly. Your preferences matter more than keeping a fictional scene consistent.
Keep private details private
Use invented places and names when a story needs personal detail. Passwords, payment details, home addresses, medical records and identifying information do not belong in a casual chat. A fictional conversation can still feel vivid without borrowing your private life.
